I Think I'll Start Trying New Things at the End of the School Year

Here is the story. I'm trying to branch out in college. Yes, in the last four weeks. Better late than never I s'pose. So, the lovely Lacy Essig invited me to go swing dancing with her and some friends. Immediatly, a list of pro's and con's flooded into my head.

Pros:

1. I'll meet new people

2. Its cheap (2 bucks)

3. Its something to do instead of study tonight

4. My future husband might be there (this is always in the back of my mind when I'm about to go somewhere I've never been. Lay off, I want to get married someday so sue me. I garuntee there are more girls who are like me in this way then aren't.)

5. I might have a good time

Cons:

1. I don't know how to swing dance

2. It could be really lame and I would be stuck there

3. I'll be down 2 bucks

4. I always seemed to get humped by some random freak whenever I go to dances. I don't even know why, I'm secure enough to say that I know I'm not the most appealing girl out there. But, it was swing dancing, so the risk was pretty low.

5. I wouldn't go without Ashers (she's my rock), wich means I would have to convince her to go with me

6. There might be stalkers there

7. I'm not attracted to men in wranglers

As you can see, the cons outweigh the pro's both in number and severity. Well, I convinced my best friend to come along and we wen't a swingin'. Turns out, its much more fun than you would think, and I'm not the swing dancin type! We were way nervous at first, but guys started asking us to dance and it got more and more fun as we went on. We even did line dances. Get this, Internet, there are line dances other than the boot scootin boogie!!!! I had no idea. Boot scootin boogie sucks, but the line dances we learned there were SWEET. Fancy footwork, just sayin. Anyway, if anyone who reads this wants to come with us, its every wednesday and monday night for two dallah! This is a picture of me and Ashers being nervous about this activity.
